functional and decorative coatings from North Basin Coating

We provide functional coatings such as fusion-bond epoxies and nylons which are excellent for the interior and exterior coating of oil field piping, fittings and valves. Small vessels and tanks can also be coated at our facility. We provide coatings that are used for waste water and potable water in municipalities and turbine pump assemblies. These coatings are NSF and AWWA approved.
 
The decorative coatings exhibit excellent corrosion resistance. These coatings are electrostatically-applied polyester powders featuring North Basin Coating’s XTRA SHIELD™ System. These polyesters come in a variety of colors as well as custom-blended colors to match our customer’s needs.

The North Basin Coating XTRA SHIELD™ system is a two coat process combining optimum corrosion protection with highest weatherability.* The basis for the excellent corrosion resistance is a zinc rich epoxy powder primer which is used as base coat. This primer is used exclusively on sandblasted substrates (iron/steel). The topcoat is a polyester powder.

* This two coat system gives an optimum non-porous film as well as excellent UV protection through the use of high quality polyester powder coatings.
